How Many Guns Did the TSA Seize Last Year?

In an announcement Thursday, the Transportation Security Agency (TSA) said it found a total of 3,391 guns nationwide in 2016, 83 percent of which were loaded. That number represents a 30 percent increase from the agency’s 2015 findings. TSA claims that, of that number, the most guns were discovered at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL), Dallas/Forth Worth International Airport (DFW), and George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH).
