Hole in STN Runway Delays Flights

A spokesperson for London Stansted Airport (STN) has confirmed that on Sunday, a number of flights were delayed due to the shutdown of a runway due to a large hole in a runway. The runway was inaccessible between 5:30 p.m. and 6:10 p.m. (BST) due to repairs, and 11 incoming flights had to be diverted to hubs such as East Midlands and Luton.

Stansted officials have confirmed that “flight operations are back to normal.”
