Hilton to Open World’s Largest Hampton Hotel in Dubai

The world’s largest Hampton Hotel is on track to open near Dubai’s airport in 2017.

Hilton Worldwide, parent company of Hampton by Hilton, has signed an agreement with a subsidy of Dubai-based wasl Asset Management Group that will bring the world’s largest Hampton hotel to the Middle East. The Hampton by Hilton Dubai Al Qusais will be located near Terminal 2 and the Dubai Airport Freezone Authority at Dubai International Airport (DXB). It will have 420 guest rooms, as well as a pool, work space, fitness center, bar, breakfast area and living zone.

“Dubai continues to broaden its appeal as a global destination and we are delighted to announce our first Hampton by Hilton here, thanks to our partnership with wasl hospitality and leisure,” Rudi Jagersbacher, president, Middle East and Africa for Hilton Worldwide, said in a press release from wasl. “In a destination of firsts and with 5.6 percent YOY increases in guests checking in to Dubai hotels, we are delighted that our first Hampton by Hilton in the Middle East will be in the UAE, as the largest property for the brand under development in the world.”

Hilton will also open another hotel in the Al Garhoud district, the Hilton Garden Inn Al Garhoud Dubai. This property will have 166 rooms, free Wi-Fi, and a 24-hour shop and business center. Both properties are slated to open in 2017.

“We are delighted to be continuing our partnership with Hilton Worldwide,” said wasl CEO Hesham Al Qassim. “This new commitment … forms the latest in wasl’s corporate expansion policy for introducing high quality mid-market hotels that will help meet the government’s target of attracting 20 million visitors each year by 2020 and support its hosting of Expo 2020 through the provision of a range of cost-effective options for visitors.”
