Hilton Honors Opens 2020 With Positive Changes

Did you catch the announcement in FlyerTalk’s Hilton Honors forum? FlyerTalk’s very own Hilton Honors Ambassador William R. Sanders dropped by to debut great news: you can now earn points on up to four rooms on eligible multi-room reservations and earn unlimited points on every stay.

More Rooms, More Points, No Limits

More Rooms: If you are a frequent guest of Hilton Honors, your base points earning potential just increased exponentially. The number of guests you can claim on eligible multi-room reservations has increased from two to four, an increase of 100 percent from last year.

Unlimited Points: Hilton has also lifted the cap on base points earned during a qualifying stay. While you used to be limited to 100,000 points per stay at certain brands now the limit is… unlimited.

More Eligible Spend: Finally, the hotel brand will now allow guests to earn Hilton Honors points on all of their eligible incidental spend at all of their hotel brands. Before the change, guests could only earn points from the room rate when staying at a Hampton by Hilton, Tru by Hilton, Home2 Suites by Hilton or Homewood Suites by Hilton. the new benefits went into effect on Thursday, Jan. 9, 2020.

HH is the worst of my many hotel loyalty programs, for one reason. In medium-to-large cities a basic room in a lower-end property is often 50K HH points.

Meh, all not relevant to me. Still a weaker program than Hyatt or even Marriott in my eyes.

Dont what you are drinking or smoking, but when I check and see I can either use 50K for a free night or pay $89+tx, it tells me this is 1 extremely sad program and until they change the amount of pts needed to match the amount of $$ , this is 1 chain that be seeing my presence Most of the time if you use pts its based on apx .0375 cents per pt, and getting worse
