Hilton Email Mistaken for Phishing Attempt
The hospitality giant fell into a trap of their own making when a standard customer email ended up sounding like a phishing scam.
The Hilton Group sent out an email to customers that looked a lot like a phishing email. Gizmodo reports that, in an attempt to reconnect with their customers, they sent out a standard email that said “Hello [name]” and asked them to click on a link to hand over their details.
The email sounded so much like a phishing email that not even the Hilton staff believed it was real, and thought that it was a fake hunting for personal details from useres.
When the email was brought to Hilton’s attention, the person responsible for Hilton’s social media denied it was from them, saying that the recipient shouldn’t share his or her information with the sender of the email.

I believe it's in Frankfurt, near the airport if I am not mistaken.
They should fire the person who came up with this email. This is such an amateurish move. @Mister Nice It's Hilton FRA.
