Hilton Announces “First-of-its-Kind” Partnership With Japan’s Biggest Airline

Hilton Worldwide is partnering with Japan’s ANA airline to introduce new in-flight services and lounges.

Travelers flying from Tokyo to Honolulu are now invited to “Experience More” of Hilton Worldwide’s hospitality through a new partnership with All Nippon Airways (ANA), Japan’s biggest airline. The collaboration between the two brands will introduce new in-flight services and new upgraded ANA Haneda and Narita airline lounges.

“As frequent travelers ourselves, we understand how tiring long-haul flights and waiting in transit for a connecting flight can sometimes be,” said Mark Liversidge, vice president of marketing for Asia Pacific at Hilton Worldwide. “Hilton believes that travel should be enriching and enjoyable, from the moment a traveler steps into the airport, to the moment the traveler arrives back at home, including the lounge, in-flight, and hotel experiences. The partnership between Hilton and ANA delivers enhanced experiences for travelers on the ground and inflight by providing touches of Hilton and ANA hospitality every step of the way.”

Guests will first travel through a lounge before the flight, which will offer menu selections created by Hawaiian chefs. Televisions in the lounge will show a destination video about Hawaii. Once on the plane, business and economy passengers will enjoy Hawaiian-inspired meals, a 30-minute destination video and a mini guidebook.

“Hawaii is a favorite destination for Japanese travelers, and our customers always look forward to their leisure trips, even before they board their flights,” Toshitaka Watanabe, ANA’s senior vice president of CS and products services. “Last December, we enhanced service offerings on our Honolulu routes, and in July of this year we will be adding another flight between Narita and Honolulu. Our partnership with Hilton elevates the excitement for our customers, and we hope our partnership will leave an impression to last until the next time they book a flight to Hawaii with us again.”

I hope Hilton is NOT advising ANA on how to manage lounges. Hilton is not exactly the aspirational lounge product we look forward to.
