Helsinki Airport Steps up Climate Change Program

Finavia, the operators of Helsinki Airport (HEL), have agreed to accelerate its program to help lessen the impact of carbon dioxide emissions caused by aircraft operations at all of the 21 airports it manages to zero percent by 2020. Helsinki Airport is on track to achieve this goal by 2017 due to an excellent solar power plant and the use of renewable fuel.

How much CO2 does an airport emit compared with the aircraft? It's hard for me to believe it's even remotely close.
