Hartsfield-Jackson Airport to Get (Very Expensive) Pedestrian Bridges

The world’s busiest airport is about to receive pedestrian bridges to help flyers navigate the area between the parking garages and the domestic terminal – to the tune of $55 million in total.

Initially, the construction of the pedestrian bridges at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport (ATL) was expected to be finished by no later than 2019, but the project is now slated to be finished by early 2021. In addition to the new walkways, enormous curbside canopies are being constructed to improve the airport experience for flyers.
