Hampton Hotels & Embassy Suites Rebranded With “By Hilton” Endorsement

Embassy Suites Orlando - Lake Buena Vista South

A new rebrand of Hampton Hotels and Embassy Suites sees “by Hilton” tacked on to the end of the names.

Hampton Hotels and Embassy Suites properties will soon see new names and logos, according to a press release from Hilton Worldwide. “By Hilton” we be tagged on to the end of each hotel name and added to the logos this quarter, in a phased rollout, changing them to Hampton by Hilton and Embassy Suites by Hilton.

The goal of the rebrand is to support future growth and evolution of Hilton’s brands, as well as to reinforce separate brand identities that fall under the Hilton umbrella. It will streamline the brands throughout the world as well, as many of the Hampton and Embassy Suites outside the U.S. already have the tag added. The company also hopes this name change will bring more customers into the hotels.

“The Hilton brand symbolizes quality, consistency, and familiarity, providing further reassurance to guests and owners alike,” Jim Holthouser, Hilton Worldwide’s executive vice president of global brands, said in the release. “Research and historical brand data indicate that guests are more likely to stay at a ‘by Hilton’ hotel, and we are confident that this simple global modification to the Embassy Suites and Hampton brands will have a positive impact on brand performance for owners, developers, and franchisees as well as consumers.”

This rebranding follows on the heels of similar efforts in the Hilton chain of hotels. DoubleTree, Canopy and Curio have already made the change to “by Hilton.”

This will also help reinforce to Hampton Inn and Embassy Suites guests that these hotels are part of the not-so-generous Hilton HHonors frequent guest program.

@ EAJUSA - I had never been to any HI in Asia or Europe, unless you are talking about properties outside the US, I see no HI in the US are better than HGI (I had stayed at way many HI no matter they are airport locations, along the highway out of nowhere in the middle of corn field, to major cities like those HI that cost $250+ a night in NYC, never found one is superior than HGI), the only high point of HI is some individual property do offer manager's reception on weekdays. HGI are very consistent with their breakfast and in room fridge + microwave. HI's "hot" breakfast are passable, especially those so called scramble eggs, those were not made from HI on property, they were delivered as is from the factory, don't even know the percentage of eggs in it. The orange juice and apple juice are always watered down as well in HI.

Very wise. Some Hampton Inns are better than Hilton Gardens, for example. People deerve to know the quality in these two brands.
