Grandfather Electrocuted, Killed by Hotel Handrail While on Vacation

On October 19, grandfather Shaun Walley was electrocuted and killed while gripping the handrail of a budget hotel located in Thailand. Walley, 67, was killed due to a faulty light box that was connected to the rail. Although the budget hotel has claimed responsibility for the accidental death, they have informed Walley’s family that they are unable to provide compensation in order to transport the deceased’s body back to the United Kingdom.
