Fuel Pipeline to JFK, LGA Closed After Leak

Fuel Pipeline to JFK, LGA Closed After Leak
Jesse Tabit

Though New York City firefighters discovered a leak in a pipeline that provides fuel to both JFK and LaGuardia Airport (LGA), officials are reporting that the pipeline is now closed and the seepage has been isolated.

Firefighters discovered the leak after they received a call Thursday of an odor that was thought to be gas near Buckeye Pipeline in Brooklyn.

It amazes me that a respectable reporter has never done a story on why the PHX Sky Train travels above ground level. Can you say fuel plume?

Didn’t we just hear about a traffic snarl at LGA that prevented fuel trucks from reaching the airport? How is that consistent with this report of a jet fuel pipeline? Anyone know the real story behind the fuel supply chain there?

Another day another news article on the ailing NY infrastructure. All the taxes and none of the work being done. NY corruption is about as bad as Brazil’s.
