Fuel Leak Spotted By Passenger Forces Flight to Make Emergency Landing

An ExpressJet Airlines flight en route to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) was forced to divert Wednesday after a passenger onboard reportedly saw fuel leaking from the wing. Adam Hensley, a passenger onboard Flight 2762, claims a man sitting behind him spotted the leak and notified a crew member.

Afterward, Hensley said that the captain left the cockpit to see for himself and indeed made the decision to make an emergency landing.

The flight touched down safely in Huntsville, Alabama, and the airline said they are providing the passengers with a replacement aircraft.
