Frontier and Booted Pro Skater Give VERY Different Accounts of Events

In a fairly public case of he-said-she-said, Frontier Airlines and the professional skater they booted off of one of their flights have to very different accounts of the inciting incident.

Justin Mallory, who was aboard the Frontier Airlines plane to Phoenix, Arizona for a skating event, says that the Frontier Airlines crew discriminated against him because they found the guns depicted in the logo on his “Big Black Biscuit, Gatlanta” shirt offensive.

“Your man was taken off a flight for wearing a Big Black Biscuit hoodie, Mallory told the crowd during a press conference he held over the incident.

Mallory’s lawyer says that “immediately” after the flight, Mallory’s manager called Frontier Airlines and was told that Mallory was removed because his shirt made another passenger feel uncomfortable.

Frontier Airlines has a different story. When asked about the incident by Fox 5 News, a spokesperson said:

“According to incident reports, Justin Mallory was removed from his flight on March 2, 2018, for being disruptive and not complying with crew member instructions. He became argumentative prior to boarding when asked to check a skateboard. It is Frontier’s policy that skateboards are not permitted in the cabin. After eventually checking the item, the passenger boarded the aircraft and continued to exhibit disruptive behavior. Frontier Airlines takes the safety and security of our flights, and all our customers, seriously and it was determined that the passenger should not fly. We refunded the passenger’s ticket to allow him to make other travel arrangements.”

Mallory’s lawyer is now requesting that Frontier Airlines release all video and audio related to the incident.

But, discrimination, really? Even if it had really been about the shirt, this has nothing to do with a protected class. It was not about being black. I am quite sure many black people fly Frontier everyday without getting kicked off.

Why no skateboards in the cabin?
