French Professor Detained at IAH Last Week

French Professor Detained at IAH Last Week

Henry Rousso, a notable French historian, says he was told he could be deported while being held at George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH) for over ten hours Wednesday. Rousso was entering the U.S. from Paris to attend a symposium at Texas A&M University. The case, which follows in the wake of President Trump’s proposed travel ban, is reportedly being attributed to an inexperienced border guard who failed to understand Rousso’s special visa rules that stated he would be getting an honorarium.
