Airline tickets over the keyboard of a laptop

Midori Hotel and Casino chef Elmer Ranera was supervising food service at the Jetstar Asia’s Clark-Osaka maiden flight launch when his wallet fell out of his apron.

It contained, said Ranera, not only “wads” of cash, but “a number of” identification cards. But he didn’t notice it fall onto the floor.

Later, it was spotted by a television crew member, Jerick B. Mojica, who was also working the launch. He picked it up, ID’d it’s owner from its contents then made PA announcements to try to find Ranera (Ranera was working in the kitchen and couldn’t hear them), asked other hotel staff members how he might contact him, and finally handed it over to a Jetstar Asia corporate communications manager who returned the wallet to a grateful Ranera.

When Jetstar Asia CEO Bara Pasupathi heard about Mojica’s efforts to get the wallet back to its owner, he rewarded him with two free tickets to Osaka, Japan.
