FlyerTalk Kids First Fund Auction Is On!

Fundraiser auction items include elite status, miles and points.

Elite status with JetBlue, two-night Tune Hotels vouchers and free flights aboard United Airlines are just some of the items going on the auction block in May, with all proceeds going to help children around the world. Once again, FlyerTalk is partnering with the Kids First Fund to present the 2016 Kids First Auction at KidsFirstAuction.com. The first round of bidding began Sunday, May 8.

Hallmarking the auction are six JetBlue TrueBlue Mosaic elite status memberships, each valid through the end of 2017. Each Mosaic membership includes free checked luggage, waived change and cancellation fees, as well as early boarding benefits aboard the New York-based carrier.

In addition, flyers will also have the opportunity to bid on flights and hotel vouchers provided by some of the most popular travel brands in the world. Additional items up for bid include North America flight certificates aboard United, two-night hotel vouchers at Tune Hotels for locations across the United Kingdom, as well as individual hotel stays from over 10 hotel locations across the United States. Those looking to add to their loyalty accounts can also bid on company authorized miles auctions from Airberlin Topbonus, Delta SkyMiles, IHG Rewards, Spirit Airlines, Starwood Preferred Guest and Wyndham Rewards.

The money raised in the auction will directly support the Kids First Fund. Based in the United States, Kids First works to protect abused children in developing nations with no funds deducted for salaries or administrative expenses. Since partnering with Kids First, FlyerTalk has raised over $50,000 for the charity.

“The FlyerTalk community of expert travelers always enjoys the unique opportunity to bid on miles, points, and other travel-themed items,” Stephen Horowitz, senior business development manager at Internet Brands, said in a press release. “This year we’re excited that they will even be able to bid on elite status in the JetBlue TrueBlue program” Internet Brands is the parent company of FlyerTalk.

Additional items will be available for bidding on May 15 and May 22. Each auction will be open for ten days.
