Flyer Has “Torturous” JetBlue Flight After Allegedly Being Scalded by Tea

25-year-old JetBlue Airways passenger Michelle Lavin claims that she was treated “like a child” by cabin crew upon allegedly experiencing second- and third-degree burns on her backside from spilled tea.

“I was in excruciating pain and had tears running down my eyes and asked them to get me anything,” said Lavin. “Cream. Something! […] They said, ‘We don’t have anything for burns on the plane.’ They were looking at me like I was insane.”

When Lavin finally dropped her pants and showed flight crew the severity of the burn, “They were horrified, and then they were much nicer. At that point I realized they knew they had a problem. They said, ‘This is very bad,’ ” according to Lavin.

She waited THREE YEARS to file the suit. I think I will have to call BS on her and her lawyer. In addition if she put the cup on her tray, did not fasten the lid (as she stated the lid was not installed properly by FA and then spilled it when she quickly turned around, I see it as her fault. And finally if she burned her "bottom" how did she spill the tea in such a manner that only her bottom was burnt and not other parts of her bottom? Again I call BS

The reason for the suit is obvious to anyone. The reason issued by the attorney is pathetic. They are suing on the basis JetBlue treated her like dirt, is complete garbage. They are simply cashing in and trying to embarrass the company into paying them off quickly. Giving the woman and this suit any media time is ridiculous but it is a good example of the lack of interesting things to report especially for the New York Post.
