Flight Screens Hacked at 2 Major Vietnam Airports

Authorities were forced to shut down electronic screens displaying flight data at Vietnam’s two major airports after they were reportedly hacked on Friday to display insults toward Vietnam and the Philippines. Sound systems at Noi Bai International Airport (HAN) and Tan Son Nhat International Airport (SGN) in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, respectively, were also compromised by hackers and shut down. Vietnam Airlines’ website was also hacked, and Vice Minister of Transport Nguyen Nhat said the incidents didn’t intervene with the security or air traffic control at either airport.
