Flight Grounded Due to Incredible Stench

On Wednesday, an Alaska Air flight bound for San Diego International Airport (SAN) was forced to return to Honolulu International Airport (HNL) after cabin crew became ill from a powerful but unknown odor aboard the flight. According to the carrier, flight attendants noticed the smell approximately an hour into the flight and a state of emergency was declared as it made its way back to Honolulu.

Those affected reported “nausea, headache type systems possibly from fumes,” and Alaska Air has reportedly accommodated all travelers inconvenienced by the aborted flight with hotel stays, and plans to rebook passengers for flights Thursday.
