Flight Gets Four Flat Tires on Runway

A Lufthansa Airbus A330 taking off from Munich Airport (MUC) was stranded on the runway at Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai for 22 hours after four of its eight tires burst while landing. Flight LH-764 had 163 passengers on board, none of whom were injured during the landing. A number of airlines due to depart from Mumbai the following day were canceled due to the time it took to get the Airbus off the runway. Passengers reported seeing small flames around the tires before emergency services extinguished the flames with foam.
