Flight Diverted Due to Drunk Passenger

An intoxicated passenger forced an Alaska Airlines flight, originally en route to San Diego, to divert to Denver Tuesday when the man reportedly became abusive toward the crew after they stopped serving him alcohol.

Alaska Airlines spokeswoman Ann Zaninovich said, “He was told to calm down by flight crew, and then became agitated and verbally abusive, even issuing a threat to the flight crew.”

The flight was delayed for approximately 45 minutes while the passenger was escorted off the aircraft when it touched down in Denver.
