Flight Attendant Channels Kylie Jenner on American Airlines
Jennifer Billock

An American Airlines flight attendant went out of his way to make the flight special and a little more entertaining for all the passengers aboard when he sang to them to wake them up upon arrival at Dulles International Airport in Virginia; passengers enjoyed a rendition of a viral video morning song.

Passengers on a recent flight to Dulles International Airport got a fun and friendly wake-up call when American Airlines flight attendant Cameron Blackmon sang to them in the morning. Blackmon riffed on a viral video of Kylie Jenner singing to her daughter in the morning.

“Doing the lord’s work this morning on the red-eye in from LAX. RuhISE & SHIyNE babes,” Blackmon tweeted

Blackmon’s tweet—which included a video of his moment—has taken off, garnering about 208,000 likes and more than 34,000 retweets. The video itself has been viewed more than 2.4 million times.

“Many were smiling, regardless of getting the joke or not,” Blackmon told USA TODAY about the moment. “I had a lady that worked with an entertainment agency on the flight compliment the nod to mainstream media and Kylie. I feel like many airline passengers have gotten so used to the basics of flying that when they hear something out of the ordinary such as me singing ‘rise and shine,’ it puts a smile on their face. I love what I do and enjoy when I am able to brighten the day of my passengers.”

Who Is Kylie Jenner and What Is “Rise and Shine”

It’s 2019 and just about anything can go viral, especially when that thing is a short ditty by Billionaire, younger Kardashian sister Kylie Jenner. Earlier this month, she was showing a camera crew her daughter’s room for her YouTube channel. When she comes in and flips the light on, she sings “rise and shine” to her daughter and the clip drove the internet wild.

Not only did an American Airline’s flight attendant sing it to their passengers, but you can now buy Rise and Shine sweatshirts on Kylie Jenner’s website, and she’s trademarked the words “Rise and Shine.”
