Five Adults-Only Hotels You Can Book With Points

Five Adults-Only Hotels You Can Book With Points
Caroline Lupini

Are you looking to spend your stash of points on a kid-free getaway? Adults-only hotels aren’t necessarily always hourly-rate love hotels; these properties aim to provide a tranquil, relaxing atmosphere and depending on the property, they tend to offer a nice mix between lively nightlife and chilled-out romance. Properties that cater to only adults are available around the world, and many of them are eligible for points redemptions. Here are a few of my favorite adults-only hotels where you can spend points.

Circulo Gran Via — Madrid, Spain

Formerly the location of The Circle of Trade and Industrial Union of Madrid, the Circulo Gran Via is a newly renovated adults-only property in the Spanish capital. As a Category 6 property, points redemptions will run between 40,000 and 60,000 Marriott Rewards Points per night depending on the season. Located 17 km away from Adolfo Suarez airport, this property is directly off of Calle Gran Via which gives it a prime address for shopping and visiting some of the city’s tranquil green spaces.

Visit the Plaza Mayor, Royal Palace, and Parque de el Ritero to see the Palace de Cristal and have a picnic on the grounds. Alternatively, simply stay on site to enjoy a romantic weekend in; Circulo Gran Via features an on-site restaurant Circulo Mercantil as well as the Champagne Bulle Bar such that all of your dining needs will be met. For privacy with an air of sophistication, book your stay with Circulo Gran Via. I’m really looking forward to staying here in April 2019!

Hyatt Zilara — Cancun, Mexico

If you’re headed to Cancun but don’t necessarily want to mingle with the spring break crowd, definitely check out Hyatt Zilara. This property is an adults-only all-inclusive, which means you’ll have access to an exclusive beachfront and everything you need on-site. Rooms at Hyatt Zilara start from 25,000 Gold Passport Points per night. This resort features a Zen Spa that draws inspiration from ancient Mayan cosmological elements.

Enjoy your choice of massage treatment, hydrotherapy, or immersive Mayan antioxidant treatments. You may even concoct your own face mask or lotion from a selection of essential oil ingredients. If you are traveling with your sweetheart, you can book a variety of couples massages as well as access to an exclusive platinum suite in the spa. For Cancun with all of the luxury and none of the hassle, book with Hyatt Zilara.

InterContinental DaNang Sun Peninsula Resort — Da Nang, Vietnam

Da Nang is situated on one of the loveliest coves on the East Vietnam Sea, and just outside of Da Nang is the InterContinental DaNang Sun Peninsula Resort. While the property itself is not strictly adults-only, it does feature a private beach as well as an adults-only infinity pool. The pool is long enough to swim laps or to simply gaze across the sea from sunup to sundown.

Accommodations here will run 70,000 IHG Rewards Points per night, but the unspoiled location is definitely worth it. Not only will you have access to a stretch of beautiful beach, but you are within a short taxi ride to the now-famous Ba Na hills and the spectacular Marble Mountains. Experience an unforgettable trek during the day, then take a dip in the infinity pool to cool off in the evening. If you’d still like access to adults-only areas but don’t mind staying near families, this is an ideal property for you.

Domes Noruz Chania — Chania, Crete

If you and your honey feel like heading to the Greek islands, set sail for Crete and book in with the Domes Noruz Chania. This Category 7 property will cost between 50,000 and 70,000 Marriott Rewards Points per night, depending on the season. Situated on the north coast of Crete, this hotel was designed to attract trendy, fun-loving guests who have a taste for adventurous activities, live music, intentional comfort, and cultural appreciation. Chania exists as a multi-cultural area with hints of Venetian, Ottoman, Greek, and Turkish roots; the Domes Noruz Chania pulls from that melting pot to create an inspiring experience for guests to enjoy. If you are looking for a place to meet like-minded folks and enjoy some relaxation at the same time, book with this hotel for your next vacation.

Crowne Plaza Times Square Manhattan — NY, NY

And now for something completely different from a romantic beach getaway: Times Square. If you are headed to the Big Apple for an exciting and colorful trip, shack up at the Crowne Plaza Times Square. A night at this property will run 60,000 IHG Rewards Points, but it’s an ideal location if you’re looking to catch a show or take advantage of the buzzing metropolis outside. This is another IHG property that isn’t strictly adults-only, but it has an air of sophistication and business that would appeal to travelers looking to leave the kids at home.

Take advantage of the Fitness & Wellness center or sip a craft cocktail at on-site Broadway 49 Bar and Lounge. This is also a good property to consider for business travel, as it features 25,000 square feet of meeting space from large conference halls to intimate board rooms. You don’t have to escape to a sandy beach for a romantic vacation; there is always plenty to do in Manhattan and it’s a functional space if you can’t entirely get away from work.

What are some of your favorite adults-only resorts? Let me know in the comments.

This accidentally posted in the Sydnay article somehow.
Just finished a nice stay at the Hilton in Puerto Vallarta on points. It is all inclusive and it is essentially two hotels in one, an adults only hotel and a regular Hilton. Some restaurants are adults only, some allow kids. There is an adults only pool in the adult hotel side and also an all ages pool on the regular Hilton side. Beachfront is all ages. Very close to the airport and a short cab/uber ride from the main downtown area.
