So basically bringing back some of the things that used to be included on the cheapest tickets 15-20 years ago, and calling it 'extra' benefits. Nice. I'll keep flying Jetblue / southwest where they at least pretend to care about you in economy.

"You can bring 1 personal item and a 1 bag with you for free. See all the restrictions before you board." Since when was AA's carry-on restricted to less than this? I haven't flown them since last Summer, but that's a deal killer for me. If this is something that all the major airlines are doing (or have done), maybe it's time for me to find more places to go that Southwest flies.

Nice to see, but I'm also a bit concerned, because in their newest configuration (the Boeing 78M (737Max), MCE is down to 33" pitch, which is not much better than most coach at 31" (of course, in the 7M8, pitch in regular Economy is down to 30"). I think that American figures it is cheaper to give away free booze to those people who actually drink in flight than to provide decent seating.
