After mistaking a passenger for a Federal Air Marshal, a Frontier Airlines flight attendant gave the flyer a handwritten note containing some sensitive security information.

A Frontier Airlines flight attendant has egg on her face after handing a note containing sensitive security information to a passenger she mistakenly believed was a Federal Air Marshal. The handwritten note contained the seat numbers of two other armed law enforcement officers aboard the Tuesday morning flight from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).

William Stratton, the passenger who mistakenly received the note intended for the flight’s Federal Air Marshal, told Phoenix FOX affiliate KSAZ that it contained two seat assignment numbers below the words “other armed passengers.” Stratton said the information was handwritten on a paper cocktail napkin.

“Well, I didn’t really know what to think,” Stratton explained. “I went up to her and said ma’am; this wasn’t intended for me and she just said oh god, and that was it.”

Frontier confirmed the incident to Fox 10 News. “The note was handed to another customer instead of the person it was intended for after the customer changed seats on the plane,” the airline said in a statement.

Stratton denied that he changed seats. “Those are the seats we were assigned; those are the seats we sat in,” he insisted.”I can’t imagine it’s very easy just to change seats, let alone with someone who is assigned a specific seat for safety purposes.”

While the location of armed air marshals is not intended to be shared with paying pax, it's not really that newsworthy.
