Etihad Partners With Private Jet Service for Maximal Luxury Experience

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier has announced a new partnership with private jet service Victor, which it says will allow elite customers a seamless long-haul experience.

Etihad Airways has unveiled a new partnership with Victor, an on-demand private jet service. The carrier believes that this will enable its elite First Apartment and The Residence customers to connect seamlessly to the exclusive cabins featured on its A380 aircraft.

The Abu Dhabi-based carrier told Skift that it has, “seen strong interest and demand within the private jet market for its ultra-exclusive A380 cabins, and is using the charter distribution network to reach this important customer segment.”

Based in London, New York and California, Victor is a charter booking service that allows customers to view the availability of its jets in real-time via a mobile app.

There is no contract or membership fee, so potential customers can choose from and book a variety of craft – from long-range jets to light planes – with absolutely no commitment. Victor’s app also allows for easy and quick comparison of fees as well as operator and aircraft details.

The company reports that half of its bookings are made through its mobile app.

Speaking of the new partnership, Shane O’Hare, Etihad Airways’ Senior Vice President Marketing, said, “Our unique agreement with Victor will give those customers wanting the ultimate luxury private jet experience a simplified end-to-end journey combining our magnificent A380 with a private jet by simply using their laptop, smartphone or tablet.”

He added that, “Victor has revolutionized the private jet charter space by giving full control and transparency to the customer, so they can expedite their travel themselves by using the latest technology, at any time, removing the lengthier booking procedures and processes associated with many private jet bookings.

Victor founder and CEO, Clive Jackson applauded the new relationship, saying, “Discerning travelers will enjoy a truly seamless, door-to-door flying experience through our new partnership with Etihad Airways.”

Both the airline and charter company will now be synchronizing their reservations systems so that customers can book their elite Etihad cabins as well as their private jet connection via the Victor app.

Headline should read Ethiad copies Lufthansa. The entire build of the First Class Terminals in Munich and Frankfurt were for the purpose of people flying private jets to either Munich or Frankfurt and transferring via Porsche or Mercedes directly to the Lufthansa First Class 747s, etc for the long distance flights. So to keep track so far Delta has copied the transfer service, and something similar to Lufthansa FCT is in the works at LAX. Now Ethiad is copying the Lufthansa concept.
