Etihad Opens Secondment Program With Emirates

On Sunday, rivals Etihad Airways and Emirates confirmed that Etihad will begin sharing the services of its pilots with Emirates, which has been faced with pilot shortages in recent years.

“We are working with Etihad on a secondment programme for some of their pilots,” said an Emirates spokesperson. “This is a common practice in our industry which gives airlines more flexibility in managing their pilot resources.”
