Etihad Announces Food Charity Initiative

Etihad has joined forces with the Emirates Red Crescent in order to donate about 150,000 meals per year to workers and laborers in Abu Dhabi. Rather than collecting meals at the end of flights and donating leftovers, the carrier’s collaboration with Emirates Red Crescent will see food prepared by Emirates’ in-house catering service at Abu Dhabi International Airport (AUH) and driven to struggling workers in the area.

Wouldn't it be nicer if the migrant labourers in Abu Dhabi were paid a decent wage and given suitable housing?
