ER Doctor: Change Your Socks After Security Checkpoint
Mack, a pseudonymous emergency room doctor, revealed in an interview with The Points Guy that one of the most unsanitary activities in which you can take part at an airport is to leave your socks on after removing them as part of the security checkpoint screening process.
“You don’t want to know what you can catch,” says Mack while presumably staring into the middle distance, haunted by what he’s seen. “You don’t want to know.”

I've seen disgusting bleach blond beach worshippers flying out of Florida having the most disgusting filthy blackened foot bottoms. They take their flip flops off and walk around the floor leaving their grunge behind and feel like they are goddesses.
As you're about to get on to a sealed metal tube hurtling through the air and nearly the speed of sound filled with airborne viruses and bacteria from the far reaches of the globe, and now we're supposed to be terrified of taking shoes off too? Perhaps the outside world is just too dangerous for "Mack" (who if he is an ER doctor is exposed to far worse on a daily basis) and he should seclude himself indoors and away from this thing called life that the rest of us live.
Another reason to get TSA PreCheck.
I have never seen nor experienced socks off. Shoes too often but socks never. Which airports is this happening at?
