Engine Fire Forces United PAX to Evacuate Flight
While preparing to depart from Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) on Tuesday night, the engine of a United Airlines Boeing 757 caught fire. Passengers were evacuated and five sustained minor injuries.
“We’re grateful for the swift actions of our flight crew and we’re thankful customers were safe,” United spokesman Jonathan Guerin said.
