Emirates Offered Jimmy Fallon A Free First-Class Flight & Twitter Freaked Out
Talk show host Jimmy Fallon was recently invited to Australia via Twitter to appear on a television show in the country, and then Emirates offered by tweet to fly him there first-class for free – an offer that doesn’t sit well with some frequent Emirates flyers and travelers who saw the post on Twitter.
Okay – to be clear – I’m on at 8:20 on @TODAYshow. I am not on @TheTodayShow in Australia. But I’d love to be one day! #ThisIsBaby

Earlier this week, talk show host Jimmy Fallon cleared up a small error on Twitter, noting the correct name of his talk show and that he doesn’t actually appear on The Today Show in Australia, as people were erroneously tagging. That lead to the Australian show offering him a slot if he could make it…
We'd love to have you! Come say g'day 🐨🇦🇺 https://t.co/de32eiGzfb

and then Emirates Airlines chimed in, tweeting “Hi Jimmy – We’ll be happy to fly you to Sydney on our flagship @Airbus A380. A great way to fly better and experience our luxurious First Class Private Suites, Shower Spa, Onboard Lounge and award-winning service,”

That didn’t really sit well with a lot of customers, though, who immediately took to Twitter to point out the unfair preferential treatment while regular frequent flyers are overlooked.

“I bet you I’ve given Emirates more money then jimmy ever will,” Twitter user Moeys posted. Twitter user khaleifa_Ahmed1 echoed the sentiment, saying “I flight with Emirates more than 32 times never ever get something free like this lucky him (Jimmy).” Others, like user ThatChihutaGuy, wanted to get the same deal: “Must be nice. Feel free to extend that offer this way as well.”
What do you think? Should Emirates have offered Fallon the trip for free? And should he accept or not? Let us know in the FlyerTalk forums.

They would offer him a flight on first class with the expectation that his employer is paying for it.
Morgac is right. Not clever to make fun of the president, as the the president does that himself.
Now is the time for EY to step in and one-up EK by offering its "The Residence" experience.
It doesnt even say anything about free!
Jimmy Fallon is a loud mouthed moron whose only claim to fame is making fun of the current POTUS on a nightly basis. I have stopped watching the late shows period. At least Letterman and Carson had some class. Fallon does not. Shame on Emirates for offering this idiot anything other than a middle seat in the last row of economy by the latrine. Thats where he and his show belong!
