Emirates Adds Cairo To Its Network of International Airport Lounges

There’s something new and exciting waiting for Emirates passengers when they arrive at Cairo International Airport (CAI). Emirates unveiled a gorgeous lounge at Cairo’s Terminal 2 during a ribbon-cutting ceremony in July.

The newest Emirates lounge joins an impressive roster of international lounges located in major hubs like Los Angeles, London, Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Beijing, Glasgow, Johannesburg, Boston and more. The new Egyptian lounge has been created specifically to cater to the passengers using the airline’s three daily flights to Cairo.

Only business-class passengers and first-class passengers get to enjoy the privilege of lounging inside this lounge. Of course, the doors to the lounge are also always open to gold and platinum members of the popular Emirates Skywards program.

It marks the first time that Emirates has opened an airport lounge in North Africa. Emirates is hoping that travelers will find the lounge to be a perfect place to relax, unwind, work and fill up on some good food. Of course, the impeccable service that is characteristic of the Emirates experience can be expected from the first moment you walk into this lounge.

The expensive look of the new Emirates lounge in Cairo is no illusion. The airline has poured an impressive $3.6 million into designing and building the lounge. Details like top-of-the-line shower facilities, LED televisions, a business center, gender-specific prayer rooms and more prove that Emirates certainly spent its money well. Guests who visit the lounge are pampered with special touches like free Wi-Fi service and spa products. The plush lounge chairs inside the lounge are also pretty amazing.

What’s a state-of-the-art lounge without some amazing food? The new Emirates lounge at Cairo International Airport has meals covered. The lounge offers free food for guests. Visitors can take advantage of a deluxe buffet that serves both hot and cold options. A mix of Egyptian specialties and international favorites are always on the menu. The lounge also offers an extensive selection of beverages.

Up to 152 guests will be able to find seats inside the lounge at any given time. The total area of the lounge covers an impressive 9,500 square feet of space.
