Element Hotel Introduces Communal Living Spaces
Coming on the heels of its merger between Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Marriott International will begin a dry run of new “innovation labs” at some of its boutique properties, such as Aloft and Element, including keyless entry, updated fitness studio technology and a communal room that will join at the center of four guest rooms. Guests at these hotels will still have their own private rooms to sleep in, but will have a shared kitchen, dining room and lounge area with guests in the other rooms.

Sorry, but I will not patronize ANY hotel that does not offer in-suite, private bathrooms. I graduated from pharmacy school decades ago, and I don't need to live in a dormitory again!
