EasyJet Rewards Hero Doctor With Coffee
After Dr. Edward Southall treated a passenger for temporary illness during an EasyJet flight to Greece, he was given a complimentary coffee by flight staff for his medical help — but was asked to pay £1.20 for the accompanying Kit-Kat bar. After the flight landed and the sick passenger was safely picked up by family members, Dr. Southall emailed EasyJet about their complimentary drink policy for medical professionals who help avert emergency landings, writing: “I believe my intervention helped avoid an emergency landing. It therefore saved the company thousands of pounds. Was it therefore appropriate or proportionate that I should be offered a free coffee but be asked to pay for the KitKat?” In a statement, EasyJet responded: “EasyJet is grateful for the help Dr Southall provided to our crew and to the many doctors and medical professionals who assist passengers onboard each year … We are sorry we didn’t get this right on this occasion and would like to offer Dr Southall a free flight as a gesture of goodwill.”

ULCC is sleazy and cheap to its core...;)
Free flight is only worth £5 and they get to sell him a kit kat and a coffee on that flight.
A free flight, but maybe not including checked bag, taxes and fuel surcharge ;-)
But he does't want a free flight... he wants a KitKat (!!!)
