Earn Up to 71,000 Points With IHG’s Newest Promo

InterContinental Hotels Group is treating its loyalty program members to yet another promotion and a chance to earn up to 71,000 bonus IHG Club Rewards points.
The promo is open to all IHG members who stay at any IHG hotel located in Africa, Asia (excluding China, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) or Middle East, making it easy to boost their rewards point balance.
You will earn 1,000 IHG Rewards Club points simply by registering for the promo with your member number. After registering, complete one stay by Dec. 31 to earn 10,000 bonus points. Complete two more stays by Dec. 31 and earn 30,000 bonus IHG points. Plus, you can earn an additional 10,000 bonus points per stay at an InterContinental Hotel.
Qualifying stays have to be booked directly via IHG’s website or mobile app. Bonus points for the InterContinental stays will be awarded after the first and the third qualifying stay. You must spend at least $50 on a stay for it to be eligible for bonus points.
Even if you do not have any plans to stay at an IHG property at the moment, I recommend registering for the promotion anyway. The year has just begun, and you never know where your travels will take you.
Even if you don’t book any InterContinental stays, you can still earn at least 41,000 IHG Rewards Club points by completing three stays by the end of 2018. IHG points are worth about 0.5 cents apiece, which means you can earn about $205 worth of points by completing three eligible stays.

Do you have any plans on traveling in Africa, Asia or the Middle East this year?
last year i registered a similar offer like this one. However, at the end, IHG did not give me the points saying i was not targeted even i registered successfully an got confirmation email. This year i am afraid the same thing will happen too. So don't expect too much from IHG. I really do not like IHG since 2016.
I got an error as well. I called and it looks like you must reside in Asia to be eligible. Since I am US resident, they tell me I am not eligible.
It is targeted, as per the T&c’s, a minor detail the author left off, poor form.
Getting an error as well. Is this targeted -- as most of the generous East Asian promos in the past?
