Earn 46,000+ American Airlines AAdvantage® Miles with Bask Bank This Year

Earn 46,000+ American Airlines AAdvantage® Miles with Bask Bank This Year
FlyerTalk

While some banks offer a cash bonus when you open a checking or savings account, Bask Bank is offering American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. With a Bask Bank Savings Account, you earn one AAdvantage® mile for every dollar saved annually. If you’re an AAdvantage® member, this is a great way to put your savings account to work. Bask Bank is currently offering a sign-up bonus, feedback bonus, and balance bonus.

The Account Opening Bonus

Bask Bank is offering 5,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles to customers who open a new savings account between March 1, 2020 and April 30, 2020 keep at least $5,000 in it for 30 consecutive days within 60 days of account opening.

Since all you have to do is open and fund the account to earn 5,000 AAdvantage® miles, this is a real no-brainer.

The Feedback Bonus

Bask Bank is also offering a “feedback bonus” that rewards account holders with 1,000 AAdvantage® miles for giving their opinion on their sign-up experience. It also has an option to provide suggestions for product improvement. All you have to do to earn the miles is complete the Bask Bank online feedback survey through Bask Bank’s online banking portal or mobile app by June 30, 2020

Bundle that with the account opening bonus and that’s 6,000 bonus miles. Another no brainer.

The Big Balance Bonus

We all have to park our emergency fund somewhere, and the more you put into your Bask Bank Savings Account, the more miles you’ll earn. The FDIC calculates the national average percentage yield (APY) at 0.9%, so it’s not like you’re getting rich in your savings account anyway.

These big balance tiers can help you earn a ton of American Airlines AAdvantage® miles, so pay close attention to the following details.

Deposit $25,000 and Earn 10,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® Miles

If you deposit and maintain $25,000 in your Bask Savings Account for six consecutive months, you’ll earn 5,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. Keep that $25,000 balance for 12 consecutive months (within 14 months of opening the account), and you’ll earn another 5,000 miles for a total of 10,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. Offer valid through 4/30/2020.

Deposit $50,000 and Earn 20,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® Miles

If you deposit and maintain $50,000 in your Bask Savings Account for six consecutive months, you’ll earn 10,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. Keep that $50,000 balance for 12 consecutive months (within 14 months of opening the account), you’ll earn another 10,000 miles for a total of 20,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. Offer valid through 4/30/2020.

Deposit $100,000 and Earn 40,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® Miles

If you deposit and maintain $100,000 in your Bask Savings Account for six consecutive months, you’ll earn 20,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. Keep that $100,000 balance for 12 consecutive months (within 14 months of opening the account), you’ll earn another 20,000 miles for a total of 40,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles. Offer valid through 4/30/2020.

Combine your Big Balance bonus with your Account Opening and Feedback bonus and you’ll score up to 46,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles.

***Note that, with any of these offers, it may take 6-8 weeks after the eligible date for your mileage bonus to post.

Doing the Math

Since the Bask Savings Account is the only savings account that earns American Airlines AAdvantage® miles instead of interest, this promotion is one of the best ways to earn rewards. But, is it the best way for your savings to earn money? Let’s take a look at the numbers.

As we pointed out before, the national APY is 0.9%. If you deposited $100,000 into a regular savings account, that rate would earn you roughly $900. You would also have to pay income taxes on that amount.

But, put that $100,000 into a Bask Savings Account and 46,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles can take you much farther than $900. That’s enough for a round-trip flight to the Bahamas, Cancun, and many other destinations that American Airlines flies. You can travel even farther if you’re smart about using your rewards and FlyerTalk’s American Airlines forum.

A beachside vacation is worth more than an average percentage yield no matter how you crunch the numbers, and it doesn’t come with the memories. Want to learn more? Check out Bask Bank’s Special Offers page for more details, and be sure to read the Terms and Conditions.

The value of this bonus offer will be reported to the IRS and the recipient is responsible for any federal, state or local taxes on this offer.
