Drug Lab Uncovered at Hilton Property Near LAX

A guest checking out of a hotel near LAX reported that someone was cooking meth in the room he had just left Monday, prompting an evacuation of the property. After conducting an investigation, authorities concluded the individual in question was attempting to extract THC from “a very small amount of marijuana,” via butane, soap and cough syrup, according to El Segundo Police Lt. Scott Doukakis. Neither the offender nor signs of meth were found in the room.
