If the parent is trying to control the situation, I know that they are doing all that they can do. The issue that I have is with parents who ignore their seat kicking children (or get incensed if you ask them to stop), their children who are running up and down the aisles disturbing others (some actually think it’s cute), and the parents who completely ignore a screaming child. I was once on an 8 hour flight to Paris and a baby cried more than 80% of the time, and when I tell you it was a cry it was more like a scream. Apparently the parents didn’t bring enough formula for the child and the child was hungry. It was the worst flight of my life.
