DEN Wants to Bring in a Lot of Bison

Denver International Airport (DEN) is currently in discussions to allow a herd of about 150 bison to roam and graze on 200 acres of airport land.

“Having that wildlife refuge next door is an unbelievable opportunity for us,” said Kim Day, airport manager.

Primary considerations for the move include measures to ensure the safety of all people and bison at the airport.
