Delta’s Focus on High-End Passengers Pays Off

According to data provided to Bloomberg by ICF Inc., Delta Air Lines’ continued premium pricing on tickets aimed toward passengers in higher income brackets is paying dividends, even as competitors have lowered their prices. Further, according to Morgan Stanley’s research, Delta has secured at least 70 percent of the market hubs in Atlanta, Detroit, Minneapolis and Salt Lake City, some of the most financially prosperous business hubs in the country, and all while charging higher fees for high-paying passengers.

maybe they focus towards the corporate markets and gov't contract. Any sane high income flier would spend his hi income on similarly priced tickets on a higher end carrier. Unless that hi income flier has a fetish for outdated horrid and cheap
