Delta to Hire 25K More Workers

Coming on the heels of President Donald Trump’s meeting with key aviation industry leaders on Thursday, Delta Air Lines CEO Ed Bastian announced the carrier’s plan to hire 25,000 new workers over the course of the next five years in addition to its approximately 80,000 current employees.

Bastian claims that the hiring surge would be enacted “with the support of a level playing field globally.”

DL is not hiring an "additional" 25K. They are estimating that this is what it will take over the next 5 years to fill positions due to attrition and earlier than expected retirements.

It's Delta; like Bubba Anderson, Bastian will blame the ME3 for the Zika virus. Believe nothing that he says.

Sounds like there is a lot of wiggle room to that 25k hiring plan. What exactly defines a "level playing field globally"? That is so broad and non specific, he could not follow through for any reason he likes.
