Delta SkyMiles, Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy and World of Hyatt Announce New Credit Card Offers

Four of the biggest travel brands worldwide have all announced bonuses for both new and existing cardholders to open up 2021. New World of Hyatt card applicants can earn up to 60,000 points after meeting spending requirements, while existing holders of qualifying Delta SkyMIles, Hilton Honors and Marriott Bonvoy American Express cards can unlock statement credits and other bonuses.

In the hopes of encouraging frequent flyer spending towards what travel brands hope will be a slow recovery year, credit card partners of four major travel brands are introducing new offers for their cardholders. Holders of qualifying Delta SkyMiles, Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy and World of Hyatt cards can unlock new offers to earn more points or receive statement credits.

World of Hyatt New Cardmember Bonus Increases, Along With February Spending Bonuses

For those who don’t have the World of Hyatt credit card, new qualifying cardholders can unlock a bonus of up to 60,000 points by getting approved and meeting spending requirements. The bonus is broken into two parts:

  • 30,000 World of Hyatt bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases within the first three months from account opening.
  • Up to 30,000 World of Hyatt points by earning two points per $1 spent on categories that normally earn one bonus point per $1, up to $15,000 in the first six months of account opening.

In addition, the card is also offering a special February spend offer for making enough purchases throughout the month. Cardmembers must first register on the Hyatt website before Feb. 28, 2021. Their ultimate bonus will depend on the number of transactions they make in the month:

  • 10 transactions = 1,000 Bonus Points
  • 25 transactions = 2,5000 Bonus Points
  • 50+ transactions = 5,000 Bonus Points

The new spending bonuses are in addition to World of Hyatt reducing their loyalty requirements by 50 percent for 2021, making it easier to earn status this year. The bonuses are also stackable with the hotel chain’s World of Hyatt Bonus Journeys global promotion.

The Hyatt sign up offer is horrible. The "bonus" is essentially 45k points for $15k spend, then Chase's marketing department layered on the 15k base points earned on that spend to call it 60k. Stunningly dishonest.
