Delta Adopts Facial-Recognition Tech at MSP

Delta Air Lines announced Monday that it will be spending $600,000 on the testing of a new facial recognition technology for a self-service bag drop station at Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport (MSP) this summer. The carrier claims to be the first airline to try the initiative in the U.S.

“We expect this investment and new process to save customers time,” said Gareth Joyce, Delta’s SVP – Airport Customer Service and Cargo.
