Customs Opens Suitcase, Finds Animal Parts

Earlier this month, Customs and Border Protection officials at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) confiscated a suitcase filled with ten kilograms of assorted animal parts, including hearts, brains, tongues and various other animal organs believed to come from cows, pigs and chickens.

“These kinds of meat products are potential carriers for harmful diseases that could result in devastating effects on our agriculture industry,” said the Dallas Division Director.
