Sexy New Dating App Is EXCLUSIVELY For Airline Employees

Taking a nod from Tinder, the CrewMe app enables airline employees to meet up with their peers, ensuring that a life in the sky is no longer lonely.

It comes with a much-vaunted veneer of glamour, but for pilots and cabin crew, life in the sky can be lonely. But thanks to a new app designed exclusively for airline employees, love — or even just a quick fling — is only a swipe away.

At first glance, CrewMe, the brainchild of pilot Maxence Boussier, looks very similar to the popular Tinder app. However, rather than allowing users to view all possible matches for their location, CrewMe filters out random strangers and uses GPS to show only airline employees who are in the same city.

Released on the App Store earlier this month, CrewMe is currently free to download on all Apple devices. The free version of the app lets users find other people, chat and view profiles of their matches. Should users wish to see pictures and profiles of every user that expresses interest in them, they must purchase a $3.99/month subscription. CrewMe will be available to Android users via the Play Store later this year.

When first-time users sign up for CrewMe, they have the option of linking their their Facebook account to their profile, but at this stage — more importantly — they must verify their airline of employment. Once a user is verified, they are free to swipe left or right, vetting potential matches in their area as they please.

According to Condé Nast Traveller, Boussier says that he developed CrewMe after observing that crew members employed by different carriers didn’t really connect. Regardless of whether the app brings them together for a drink or something more, it enables airline employees to meet and mingle with peers as they please.

Though CrewMe is only a few weeks old, Boussier already has plans for a big update, which will alert users when one of their potential matches is in the vicinity.

I hope that this takes all of the flight crews off my preferred "dating" sites.

We need an app like that exclusively for FT members, no?
