Crew Shortage Forces BA Pilot to Perform Safety Demonstration

According to a passenger aboard a British Airways flight departing for London Heathrow Airport (LHR) from George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), the flight’s pilot gave the customary safety demonstration while the flight taxied across the tarmac. Jo Osborn (@taitaiitalia) tweeted about the experience, saying “‘We’re short of crew today so the pilot is helping with the safety demo’.Want me to do it @British_Airways, so he can fly the plane?”

British Airways reached out to Osborn on Twitter, responding: “We normally have two pilots on each flight, Jo. Hope this clarifies matters.”
