Complaints Increased Drastically After UA Incident

New data shows that in April – when an incident involving security guards dragging a passenger off of a United Airlines flight occurred – airline complaints increased by 70 percent, compared to the same time last year. The report, released by the Bureau of Transportation Statistics (BTS), shows that passengers traveling in the U.S. filed approximately 1,909 complaints against carriers that month. In April 2016, complaints totaled 1,123.
