Compass Investigates Mystery Slide Deployment

An investigation is ongoing into the circumstances surrounding the opening of a door and the deployment of a slide aboard Compass Airlines Flight #6017 while it awaited gate space at McCarran International Airport (LAS).
“No passengers exited the aircraft via the slide. Passengers were deplaned using air stairs and were bussed to the terminal,” said airline spokesperson Stacey Putnam Ross, who went on to add that “the slide was not deployed by a passenger.”
