Clipboard in Plane Engine Grounds Jetstar Flight

A Jetstar flight traveling from Auckland, New Zealand to Sydney, Australia was forced to turn around in midair after it was discovered that a clipboard had apparently been misplaced within the Airbus A320’s right engine.

“The presence of foreign object debris poses a significant threat to aircraft safety,” a report on the incident reads. “It has the potential to cause aircraft damage during critical phases of flight, costing airlines and airports millions of dollars each year,” they added.
