Chinese Aviation Industry Lifts Cap on Government Fares

China’s aviation regulations will be removing a cap on how much carriers owned by the Chinese government are allowed to charge for domestic fares.

“The Chinese airlines have greater pricing power than ever before,” said analyst Corrine Png, who went on to speculate that government-run airlines will raise fares by about 5%.
